Jarrell came to the Workforce Investment Board because he was struggling to support his wife and four children. He had worked in warehousing his entire adult life but was looking for something more rewarding.

He attended job readiness workshops at the West Valley America’s Job Center of California, and also qualified to take part in a commercial truck driver training program at Roadmaster Driving School.  With this training under his belt, Jarell successfully passed his Class A driver’s license test on his first attempt.

Jarell is now beginning a promising career as a truck driver with Werner Enterprises.  “I now have a meaningful career and I can provide for my family,” Jarell said.   I appreciate this assistance.”
