Job Fair offers one-stop recruitment for businesses seeking to hire

ONTARIO — (September 2, 2014) Companies needing to hire staff should register to take part in the West End Regional Job Fair in Ontario. Job seekers are also invited to attend free of charge to meet prospective employers.

The County of San Bernardino Workforce Investment Board is hosting the job fair which offers businesses the chance to meet, interview and hire highly-qualified and experienced workers to fill full-time and part-time positions.

In past years, this event has been very successful, attracting 800 job seekers, ages 18 to over 65. More than 700 vacancies were offered by companies specializing in a range of industries including warehousing, manufacturing, technology, healthcare, education, construction and hospitality.

“We are pleased to say that our past events have been very successful in terms of finding suitably qualified candidates for a host of local companies,” said Sandy Harmsen, Executive Director of the San Bernardino County Workforce Investment Board.

“It really is a great opportunity for employers to benefit from a one stop shop for recruitment.”

The job fair, billed as “Local jobs for local residents,” will run from 10AM-1PM on September 26th at the Ontario Convention Center on Convention Center Way.
