Nidia Vargas was previously a bank manager, managing a financial office and supervising a sales team. After being laid off she wanted to make a career change but was having difficulty presenting her transferable skills.

Nidia learned about the Workforce Investment Board services from San Bernardino County’s website. She was able to attend the different workshops that helped her with her job search, create a better presentation of her resume and be better prepared for interviews.  Her advisor and the network unlimited coach helped her with mock interviews and resume critiques.

Nidia is now employed fulltime with San Bernardino County as a Workforce Development Specialist. She states, “I am very thankful to the entire team at the West Valley America’s Job Center of California.  They were all very helpful and provided a lot of support.”
